The story, era by era
From rebuilding sound in Bavaria to networked systems on five continents.
Werner Pinternagel founds Dynacord in Bavaria in 1945. In a country rebuilding itself, the young company builds amplifiers and audio electronics with an engineering-first discipline that becomes the house style.
The DYNACORD mixing amplifiers of 1948 are the first products to carry the name. A decade later the company settles in Straubing, Bavaria — the address that generations of engineering data sheets carry printed on the last page.
Dynacord becomes a leader in installed and public-address sound, where the spec that matters most is reliability. Industrial design keeps to a rule that still holds: clean lines and clean sound.
The PowerMate powered mixers put a full console, studio-grade effects and Class H amplification into one road-ready unit — discrete microphone preamps, dust-proof faders and protective circuits throughout. For thousands of bands and venues, it is the Dynacord.
Dynacord helps drive IP audio technology and open standards such as OMNEO. Today every product line passes the Reliability Lab, efficiency technologies such as EcoRail cut energy use without touching output, and the V Series and IX Series carry Best of Show awards from ISE 2026 and InfoComm 2025. Dynacord is part of the Keenfinity family of brands.
