Electro-Voice introduces next-generation EVID ceiling speakers at InfoComm 2024

Electro-Voice launched two new ceiling speaker series at InfoComm 2024 — the seven-model EVID-C-G2 series and five entry-level EVID-EC models — adding 12 options for distributed audio across a range of installation settings.

  • Complete refresh of EVID C series, plus new entry-level options – seven standard EVID-C-G2 models and the addition of five entry-level EVID-EC models allow for a versatile and cost-effective mix of products to precisely address the audio requirements of different areas in an installation

  • Simple, fast and safe installation – with new SwiftLock System (C-G2 models), easy-access tap and terminal placement, same-diameter designs, magnetic and paintable bezel-less grilles, and more

  • Superior audio with streamlined aesthetics – patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducer) technology allows a more shallow and compact enclosure while enhancing full-range pattern control

Two new series, 12 models

At InfoComm 2024, Electro-Voice introduced the EVID-C-G2 series, with seven models, alongside five entry-level EVID-EC models. Together the 12 new speakers give installers a wider set of pricing and performance options for distributed audio.

The lineup ranges from a 3" full-range model to 8" two-way and subwoofer configurations, with specialized versions for low-profile, high-ceiling, and fire-safety applications. All C-G2 and EC models comply with UL 1480A and UL 2043 certifications, and all operate at 70/100V.

Built for fast, retrofit-friendly installation

Installation features include the new SwiftLock System for quick ceiling attachment, front-baffle wattage taps, and side-access terminal blocks. Every model keeps the same three cut-out sizes as the previous-generation C series — small (7"), medium (11"), and large (13") — which simplifies retrofit installations.

The speakers use paintable, bezel-less magnetic grilles in white, with optional black and square configurations. Each model incorporates Electro-Voice's patented SST (Signal Synchronized Transducers) technology, which enables compact enclosures with full-range pattern control.
